Gel4Flowers New Packaging
Gel4Flowers is to be taken into the Florist markets via a number of wholesalers.  A gel that replaces water in the 'last mile distribution' of the cut flower market it is used in both the High Street shop as well as the on line ordering market.  Odourless and clear, its physical properties are designed to release water and micronutrients into the flower stems once the bouquet has been made.  Whether to replace a temporary water vessel for a High Street consumer or to replace cellulose nappies or other such devices it is a cost effective way to make sure the bouquet looks at its best.

Trials Underway across the World

Trials are currently underway in Mexico for Papaya Tree production, Tanzania for Eucalyptus Tree production and Pomegranate and Fig production in the Middle East.  The interest in our gels is due to their phytosanitary nature.  Instances of failure during propagation by cutting has been attributed to the varying quality and cleanliness of compost.

As propagation by striking cuttings delivers those qualities producers want to keep in their plant stocks, reducing failure rates early in the process is key to their success.

Groovy Roots used to Grow Seeds!

Although not designed for seed germination Groovy Roots is proving to be a successful growing medium for a range of 'MicroGreen' seeds.  These are seeds that grow all year round and are fully developed in 5-7 days; Mustard White, Basil Dark Poal, Broccoli Green - Sprouting, Rocket Victoria, Alfafa and of course Cress.  A group of Education Consultants working with the RHS have been introduciing Groovy Roots to schools and are pleased with the results.  The pupils can see the seedlings develop, the media is clean and doesn't need watering or feeding.  In some cases the pots can be left for up to 3 weeks wiith no attention.

Ideal for pupils in Key Stages 1 and 2 this application gives a much wider range to the application of Groovy Roots.
